For those of us who walked in darkness far too much, far too long, the light is almost a myth.
We have learned to exist without hope, without peace, without love.
We have learned to exist without life.
So when the light comes, no matter how bright or how faint, we fail to accept it is there.
We ignore it; “it will pass” we say to ourselves, “Why bother hoping? why bother changing?”
Oh, how evil is the enemy we face! Even in the presence of light we fail to believe!
We reject everything and for everything we hold a reason, a logic, something that makes our twisted self beliefs make sense.
Love is but infatuation or desire, manipulation and mirrors.
Trust becomes nothing in our eyes other than deception waiting to happen. Illusion.
Friendship is seen as mere fiction, useful posturing.
Peace is but a brief breath before the storm.
And so what? I ask! What if it is all true?
Are you a coward? Are you weak? Are you dead?
No. No. No.
You are who you are.
When the darkness has taken everything, whatever remains in you is true.
Your love for others. Your peace. Your faith in the future. However naive it all seems, however impossible, it is all true. True.
Don´t fear. And if you do, defeat fear. In spite of it, even more so, because of it: Fight!
Move forward! Love. Befriend. Hope. The Future is yours to make!
If you see light, be wary, but hope and act!
If you see love, be cautious, but give it a change!
If you see friendship, make room for more space within your heart!
The Light is not a dream. It is. If it falls upon you, embrace it.
For all darkness must pass. Such as light once passed before you and left you behind.
And no darkness is total, just as no light is absolute.
We live in a world in which light and darkness together dance.
Good and Evil, Life and Death, Hope and Hopelessness.
All opposites move and dance and you must learn to navigate them all.
If you are lonely, find friends. If you are blessed with people, find some loneliness.
Dance.
Who you are, will forever be.
Love thyself. Not the falseness built upon.
Forgive thyself. Love.
